Position Title:

Women's Club Lacrosse Head Coach

Job Description:

This is a four-month position which will work January 1, 2019 - April 30, 2019. 

The role is limited to instructional as the student club officers are the administrators for all other aspects of running the club.


The Coach is responsible for: 

• Adhering to the policies and procedures of club sports and Colorado School of Mines
• Attending 66% of practices and 95% of games
• PA Credit – take attendance, submit grades
• Safety of the team and facilities
• Structured and planned training sessions
• Preparation of the players
• Structure of the team game plan
• Communicating this game plan to the players
• Developing each player’s potential
• Encouraging excellence in execution
• Providing positive feedback and post-game analysis to the players
• Recruitment and retention
• Contributing to, and being aware of, the importance of team morale

The Coach has a role in building the whole person by ensuring that participating in club sports is an enjoyable experience in the player’s life journey. The coach will take every opportunity to talk to and listen to the players and be sensitive to the needs of the individual and the team.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be US Lacrosse Level 1 certified

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience as a lacrosse head coach

The Club Sports Program complements the school's intercollegiate, intramural, and physical activity programs while offering the students opportunities to develop skills that will assist them beyond the years spent at the Colorado School of Mines.
