Position Title: Temporary Accountant
Job Description:

The Office of Budget & Financial Planning invites applications for a full-time temporary position as an Accountant to manage the labor budget for the Academic Affairs area. This includes approving salary budgets, posting budget entries to the financial system, running basic financial system processes, and reconciling the labor budget on a weekly basis.

The position performs accounting and finance functions in the Office of Budget & Financial Planning. The significant job duties include approval of labor budgets in the financial and HR systems, clearing deficits, the reconciliation of labor budgets on a weekly basis, preparation of summary reports on salary savings, posting labor budget entries to the financial and HR systems, and running basic financial system processes.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in accounting or finance
Substitutable Experience: 
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution which included 27 semester hours of accounting or auditing coursework
  • Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis
  • Current, valid licensure as a CPA by the Colorado Board of Accountancy
