Colorado School of Mines invites applications for temporary accounting/finance positions. Our goal is to create a pool of interested and qualified individuals whom we may contact as temporary needs arise. Duties may include accounts payable, accounts receivable, fund accounting, financial aid support, budget management, cost projections, cost accounting, ad-hoc analyses, invoicing, reconciliation, reporting, etc. We are looking for energetic people who are highly organized, detail-oriented and possess outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills (written and verbal). Must be proficient in an area such as technical accounting/bookkeeping, financial accounting, budgeting, working with large complex data sets, . Preference will be given to applicants with prior accounting experience in a higher education setting; experience with Banner, Oracle-based or similar financial systems, knowledge of State and Federal Fiscal Rules; possession of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Temporary employment at Mines does not include benefits and duration of assignments vary from a few weeks to 9-12 months.
