Position Title: Teaching Full/Associate/Assistant Professor or Professor of Practice
The Opportunity:  The Department of Computer Science at Colorado School of Mines (Mines) is looking to hire multiple Teaching Professors at any rank as well as Professors of Practice. Each successful candidate must be able to teach a variety of computer science core and elective courses, including, but not limited to, courses such as: Introduction to Computer Science, Data Structures, Software Engineering, User Interfaces, and Web Programming. Candidates should also plan to support departmental recruiting efforts, coordinate multi-section courses (including supervision and training of teaching assistants), and participate in curriculum innovations and improvements. 

We are looking for superb teachers who inspire students. Before starting at Mines, applicants must possess a Ph.D. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Science Education, or another closely related field OR possess a degree in Computer Science or another closely related field and have a history of relevant industry experience. Candidates should have classroom experience with a demonstrated record of teaching excellence and a clear passion for conveying knowledge to novice software professionals. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in curricular innovation and educational research (undergraduate and/or K-12), as well as candidates with industry experience, or an interest in software engineering.
