Position Title: Department of Physics - Post-Doctoral Fellow
Job Description:

A Post-Doctoral Researcher is sought for a full-time position in the Department of Physics for a collaborative investigation with the University of Denver (DU). The project seeks to theoretically design and subsequently produce optical vortex structures that exhibit non-abelian anyonic behavior. This would have important implications for topological quantum computing using linear optics. Two post-doctoral positions are to be filled, and this one is for a quantum theorist.

The successful applicant will also work closely with experimentalists at DU and will provide mentorship to graduate and undergraduate students on the project.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • PhD in physics
  • Effective written and oral interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Publication and innovation record, as proven by peer-reviewed journal articles and conference proceedings/presentations
  • Training and expertise in quantum field theory with application to topological quantum information processing
  • Training and expertise in quantum optics
  • US citizenship is preferred but not required
